One prism's deflection is measured in Diopters, with 1 diopter shifting the beam 1cm at a 1m distance. They can also form an anamorphic pair for beam shaping, or be combined to steer a beam within a 4 circle, achieved by independently rotating the prisms, often used in imaging for beam scanning.
