Crafted from lightweight billet aluminum, the shank is designed for easy handling and installation and offers a 5-1/2" of drop, adjustable in precise 1" intervals, making height adjustments easy with the 2" or 2-5/16" ball. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch also seamlessly fits any 2" x 2" hitch receiver with 5/8" hitch pin holes. A drop hitch is an essential accessory for towing trailers with differing heights compared to the tow vehicle. An uneven trailer connection can lead to improper weight distribution and drooping or elevated connection. This misalignment can encourage trailer sway and result in unexpected accidents.
