- The recommended way to attach something to a screw-down metal roof is by fastening screws through the panel flats into structural support rather than stitching mounting brackets just to the high panel seams. Most panel manufacturers suggest fastening only through the flat portion of a screw-down metal roof panel so the screw holes don't oblong over time.
- The SataBracket MRM is an exterior or interior strut bracket for mounting slotted 1-5/8" & 13/16" struts on screw-down metal roofing or steel wall panels. Framing strut channels can support a solar panel assembly, bracing of fixtures, cable, pipe, conduit, and HVAC equipment. (The purchase does not include metal roof screws or framing channel struts.)
- Aluminum alloy 6005-T6 is an excellent choice for outdoor applications due to its high strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, tensile strength, wear resistance, and lightweight characteristics.
- The SataBracket MRM includes one 3/8"-16 X ¾" threaded stainless steel top bolt and a stainless washer to attach any slotted strut channel to the top. Although the inside opening of the SataBracket may accommodate a 1-5/8-inch framing strut, its intended use is for top channel strut mount.
- Mounting base has a weather-sealing gasket and eight base holes that accommodate eight 1/4-inch screws for heavy-duty metal roof and wall mounting. You can install it on metal panel flats at least 1½-inch wide. Mounting the base to the structural support beneath the flat part of the metal panel is strongly recommended. The purchase does not include metal roof screws or struts.
