Phosphate Remover is designed to remove phosphates from 32oz. pool water. Phosphates come from fertilizers, rain water and soaps. High phosphate levels provide food for algae, requiring larger amounts of sanitizer to control algae growth. Phosphate Remover is formulated to work with all pool sanitizing systems. For Best Results: Use in conjunction with Pool Mate Clarifier to improve filter efficiency. After treatment, Pool Mate Filter Cleaner should be used to ensure all phosphates are totally removed from the filter. Directions For Use: Weekly, if no algae is present: Use 1 ounce of Phosphate Remover per 5,000 gallons to maintain phosphate levels at or below 100 ppb (parts per billion). If algae is present: First, add a dose of Pool Mate 90 Day Algae Erase. Test water using a phosphate test kit. Use a dosage chart below to determine correct dosage. With filter running, disperse the proper amount of Phosphate Remover by adding it slowly around the edge of the entire pool and in front of the return line. Run filtration system for 24 to 36 hours. Shock the pool. Brush pool surface and vacuum to filter. Watch the filter pressure and clean or backwash as necessary. Test for phosphates again.
