In 1980, Steve Caballero's impressive performance in the Gold Cup Series and his 'Rookie of the Year' title earned him a pro signature model. Initially offered a simple graphic, Caballero submitted his own sketches, including a crouching dragon, which was chosen. Artist VCJ refined the design before finalizing it. The deck, released in December 1980, featured a graphic so popular it remained unchanged until 1986.
